Hi! I am Eugenia. I was born in the land of pura vida — Costa Rica — a small, vibrant country in Central America known for its color, warmth, and generosity.

Because of work and by choice, I have spent more than half my life living in different countries around the world, discovering new cultures, languages, foods, and traditions. I am an attorney by profession, and my journey has allowed me to serve, learn, and grow across borders.

Often, I was the newcomer myself — navigating unfamiliar places with courage and gratitude, always remembering the people who welcomed me with open doors and open hearts. These experiences shaped my deep belief in embracing our differences, learning from others, and carrying our culture proudly, no matter where life leads us.

I am multilingual and speak Spanish, English, Italian, and a bit of French — each language a doorway to connection and understanding. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, arts and crafts, taking long walks, and breathing in the comforting smell of nature.

I am also the proud mother of a lovely 28‑year‑old daughter, whose kindness and strength inspire me every day.

I now live far away from my home country, accompanied by my loyal dog, Luke — a very handsome Havanese, my constant companion, and a beloved character in this book.
